| Namiki Rile |
Namiki was born and raised in Nagoya, Japan. She has been dancing since the age of 4. She continued her dancing career through out her life. After relocating to the Los Angeles area-she has also participated and performed with many talented choreographers and dancers (including Musical and Dance stage, televisions and films, etc).
She received Pilates certification through the Classic Pilates Method (ROMANA).
Namiki has also been working with many types of clients to help them re-pattern their movements to become more efficient in their respective field, to tone their muscle, pre/post natal and to help strengthen existing injuries, etc. |
| Christine Collins |
Christine started training in the classic Pilates method in 2000 at Power Pilates in New York City, and after one session was hooked! She found it challenging in a way that no other exercise had done and she has tried just about everything. She truly believes this method can change the way you feel and move, with the added benefit of looking better... Hello skinny jeans! She has seen the transformation first hand through years of teaching along with her own practice which has allowed her to work through old injuries. She has worked with athletes, dancers, musicians, the elderly and specializes in bringing balance back to the body to create more efficient movement patterns. She is passionate about classic Pilates which is closest to the original system and can create a fun, challenging workout while catering to the individual needs of the client. |
| Jesse Sospirato |
A native Angeleno, Jesse has been hooked in to the fitness and rock-n-roll cultures all her life. She even wore a leather dress to her high school prom. Certified in classical Pilates technique through the instructor-training program at Absolution, a distinguished Pilates studio in West Hollywood, she has been teaching Private Pilates sessions, and Mat Pilates since 2002.
Responding to the needs of her Hollywood and Valley clients who like to rock out while getting fit, Jesse has built on Joseph Pilates principles to develop her own series of original exercises. Her workouts remain focused on strengthening the core and creating long, lean muscles, but then kick it up a notch and give it a killer beat.
Her philosophy is all about celebrating your body and growing stronger from within. Rather than trying to mold people into artificial shapes, Jesse focuses on helping you love the body you have and become the healthiest you possible! Jesse enthusiasm for Pilates and personal training and all things fitness is contagious! She is constantly motivating and challenging her clients to new levels of fitness. Whether you are a new comer or experienced student Jesse will find fun and new ways to inspire you!! |
| Taryn Wayne |
With a background as a professional dancer and an education in physical and energy work, Taryn Wayne brings to her clients a unique perspective on the subjects of Pilates and fitness training. Taryn has 600 accredited hours of formal education, resulting in her certification in the cutting-edge Half Moon Pilates method in New York. She has over 15 years of personal Pilates experience and extensive experience teaching Pilates on both the East and West Coasts. Currently Taryn is pioneering new technologies in functional flexibility as well as continuing her studies in the areas of Anatomy and Biomechanics. The desire to further her healing ability has led Taryn to seek the culminant degree- that of Master, practitioner, and teacher- in the Usui Reiki Method of Natural Healing. Taryn began her performance career as a professional ballet dancer with Pacific Northwest Ballet in Seattle, WA. After receiving her B.A. in Anthropology from Princeton University, she moved to New York City and began her contemporary/modern dance career with the Extended Dance Company. She is currently dancing with TRIP Dance Theatre and co-choreographing for Faux Pas Dance in Hollywood, and is happy to be on the team of excellent instructors at Bad Cat Pilates! |
| Raelene Arrington |
Raelene has been a student of yoga and Pilates for more than ten years. After seeing how Pilates had such a positive and profound effect on her life and body, she decided to pursue a Pilates teacher certification to help others get healthy and feel great. She received her certification from Body Arts and Sciences and has an active practice teaching Private and Semi-private sessions. Raelene's Pilates sessions are focused on breathing management and proper alignment in order to accomplish each client's fitness goals. |
| Tanya Hellum |
Tanya trained under Maria Leone in Beverly Hills, receiving her certification in Pilates through the Physical-Mind Institute in NY. Growing up in LA, Tanya enjoyed dancing and performing as well as a commitment to continual learning. She then went on to college, earning a Bachelor's degree in communications from BYU and an MBA from Cal State Northridge. Spending more than a decade in the corporate entertainment environment, she found Pilates and Yoga to achieve fitness, balance and relaxation. Today she's excited to get back to her true love of movement and share the enjoyment and challenges that Pilates brings with those she teaches. A mother of two active boys, Tanya also serves as an officer on the Board of Directors of a local credit union and recently received a certification in fine cooking. |
| Lindsey Goins |
Lindsey was certified in classical Pilates in Los Angeles under the leadership of Jill Cassady who trained directly under both Romana Kyrzanowska and Ron Fletcher. Growing up in Louisiana she was a competitive swimmer. After moving to Los Angeles she discovered Pilates and had to know more so she became an instructor. Lindsey prides herself on tailoring all workouts to clients' individual needs. She especially enjoys working with older clients and people new to Pilates. |
| Norma Jean Nolan - currently teaching abroad in Brazil |
Norma Jean grew up in Lake Tahoe. She danced and swam competitively throughout her childhood. She started skiing competitively in Junior High and continued through college. Needing a change, she moved to Hawaii where she learned how to windsurf and became a SCUBA diving master. While in Hawaii Norma Jean was in an accident that caused a serious and permanent back injury. At that time she was looking forward to pursuing a career in Dance. Determined, she began physical therapy and moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dream. After two years of hard work her back still hurt and she was on the verge of giving up. Then, one of her dance instructors suggested Pilates. Twenty-five sessions later, the pain went away and she danced professionally for the next six years. Norma Jean swears by Pilates. It has given her a life doctors said she would never have. Norma Jean has been teaching for four years and loves it. She is able to re-create the same miracles on her clients that she experienced herself. Norma Jean pursues and teaches Pilates with passion and feels she was born to do this. |

Susan comes to Bad Cat from Boston, MA where she began her training in Pilates, with mentor Sheila Donovan (The Pilates Studio, Canton, MA), after receiving her B.A. in dance from Dean College. She began integrating Pilates and yoga into her lifestyle as part of her training as a professional dancer/entertainer to maintain and sustain strength, flexibility, and proper body alignment while in or out of classroom, on the road performing, or teaching. Susan began her training as a Stott Instructor at Pilates on 5th, in New York City, NY and continued the extensive training program at The John Gary Pilates Studio in Long Beach, CA. Susan integrates the Stott method, yoga, dance, stretching, and weight training into personalized workouts she designs specifically for each individual client based on body type to create and produce a long, lean, toned, and aligned body. |
