Norma Jean Nolan
Norma Jean grew up in Lake Tahoe. She danced and swam competitively throughout her childhood. She started skiing competitively in Junior High and continued through college. Needing a change, she moved to Hawaii where she learned how to windsurf and became a SCUBA diving master.
While in Hawaii Norma Jean was in an accident that caused a serious and permanent back injury. At that time she was looking forward to pursuing a career in Dance. Determined, she began physical therapy and moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dream.
After two years of hard work her back still hurt and she was on the verge of giving up. Then, one of her dance instructors suggested Pilates. Twenty-five sessions later, the pain went away and she danced professionally for the next six years.
Norma Jean swears by Pilates. It has given her a life doctors said she would never have. Norma Jean has been teaching for four years and
loves it. She is able to re-create the same miracles on her clients that she experienced herself. Norma Jean pursues and teaches Pilates
with passion and feels she was born to do this.
